Considering they might not want their weekend staff to be slammed by support issues, the weekend release is probably light and Monday will be heavy- just an educated guess based on OT costs.

Got my update Saturday morning at 11:30AM checked my phone and there it was, please update your phone to new software version, yes sir I will:) I said. Froyo 2.2 Rocks, also love the new live wallpaper screen saver that came with the Nexus1, Flash 10.1 is great, phone is more responsive and the flashlight app is also great, and so is the new text format.

I was thinking that too. Game on anytime after 9pm sunday.

2 threads, same question, zero relevance to thread.

2 threads because there are two threads talking about the 2.2 update.

It is relevant because it is only relevant to people who have the 2.2 update, which I don't.

thanks for the help big guy.

Furthermore to my knowledge it is against the TOS in the sticky post to continually post off topic, bashing a threads relevance, or saying "use the search" instead of contributing to the thread.

As stated in that post.. Just don't do it. It's rude and does not contribute :)

On topic, I am still eagerly awaiting my Froyo 2.2, but I have hopes. I'm in Dallas, TX.

I'll be sure to drop in and post when I do get it. :D

I've a HTC desire, updated to Android 2.2 recently. I am very concerned to know, if I should "ROOT", in order to:

a) Have "FROYO" ?! (is same as And. 2.2 ?)
b) Access to market.place (as I don't, right now !)
c) Could "Move to SD" my App.'s ? (as I see it gray, in application manager)

In other words, I searched and find many discussions about rooting, and how rooting, but still really don't know if I should better do so, or not.
Please advice clearly, as I want to know realt meaning of rooting as well.
Thanks a lot in advance,

Glad everyone is so chipper in here, on a lighter note......
i know its senseless to do it but i've gone to the system updates in settings only to have it say 'your system is up to date' like 7 or 8 times.... I KNOW it doesn't work like that... maybe i'm just losing it.... wait a min... i should check it again
*runs to find phone

I already told this thread how it's being rolled out. No need to wonder. 100K per day starting up again Monday, expected to be mostly completed by Friday next week. Fact, not rumor.

100k per day, randomly. And why shouldn't it be? It makes perfect sense to roll out the update on day 1 to some dude who got their phone last week while the guy who has had it for nearly 4 months is stuck waiting until the end of the week.

If your phone was broken or somehow useless, then a FPFU* would make sense as the owners who had been inconvenienced the longest would get serviced first.

If you have been paying attention to any of the other Android upgrade rollouts by other mobile carriers, you would see the same method. For a user in a forum like this, it should not be a surprise.

*(First purchased, first upgraded)

It's random guys. And if it's not randon, there isn't much we can do. How can you prove something isn't random lol.
Ye, my sister and brother in law are still waiting for their updates, any minute now for all the rest, it will happen, the update is for everyone.
