Macro application for Android

I am searching for a macro for Android. For example, some application will start at certain time, then click(or touch) the menu itself as I've previously saved in the macro. Similar app for Windows Mobile is "Vito Buttonmapper" I think.

Does the application "Tasker" do the same thing that I described? Or is there any other application?

I was wondering if there was an app like this myself. Does the Android OS even make such an app possible if each app lives in its own sandbox?
