Good Security App?

I'm looking for something that can tell me where my phone is if it's lost or stolen and will also allow me to remotely erase the phone if it's gotten into the wrong hands. Right now I have Lookout but it doesn't seem to have the functions I need. Any suggestions?

You might need to use two apps. I have LOOKOUT and NORTON NORTON MOBILE SECURITY installed on my phone.

LOOKOUT will tell where the phone is, backup the phone, provide, anti-virus (I don't use it for that), and ring a missing phone (lost in the couch and can't find type of thing).

NORTON MOBILE SECURITY will provide anti-virus, lock and/or wipe the SIM card, and provide call blocking.
 
What service provider & phone manufacturer do you have? For example, Verizon offers what you are looking for but you have to have your phone insured through them. HTC is coming out with the same service this month & I believe Motorola already has it.
I would use either your phone manufacturer or service provider first before some 3rd party simply because they know the ins and outs of your phone better & probably better customer service than some odd developer.
 
I use a free app called autowipe. Will wipe your phone via an SMS trigger (which I have admittedly never got to work) and will wipe your phone if you enter the wrong passcode too many times (which I have got to work). It'll also wipe your SD card as well (which I've also got to work for me). It won't tell you where your phone is if it's lost/stolen, but I think that feature is extremely overrated. If I've lost my phone I have a general idea where it is. If the app can tell me "sitting on kitchen table" then it's useful. If all it does is tell me it's in my house, it's not very useful. If the phone is stolen knowing where it is is not useful information.

Bah! Autowipe is only for 2.2. Bummer. :(
 
wavesecure is the best i found, and you can leave a message on the locked screen , with phone number to call or reward given etc , also it has an erase sd card, and phone book etc, but io dont recomemnd playing with the erase to see if it works, hahahah cos i spent the next 2 hours trying to get the phone back to the way it was before i pressed erase :o
does cost a tenner a year or something like that , but at least the phone will be secure .

I installed Lookout, and it seems to work well so far. I also installed Norton. It is running, and it scans, but when I try to add a buddy that can unlock the phone, the phone goes dark, and the screen pretty much freezes.

Anybody else have that issue?
