Is there a backup app like acronis for PC's?

Everything I've seen as a backup app for droid is merely saving the apps you have installed, but it can't return the phone to it's original state after a factory reset. Last time it took days and hours and there was still tweeks missing as I couldn't remember all the settings.

Is there a backup system that catches all the settings and apps on a droid?

Verizon suggested resetting to factory state today when I called about the slow/stalled downloads to update apps....LauncherPro took 30min to download and update!!! I started foaming at the mouth and told them that wasn't going to happen. Any good backup solutions out there? thanks, Cyn

You would need to root your phone and use ROM Manager. It can make a system-state backup of your phone.

It's not like Acronis in that you cannot do a pick and choose restore; it's an all or nothing proposition, but it is quite effective.

For backing up apps and their data and system settings, Titanium Backup is the way to go. It's not a system state app like ROM Manager, but excellent in its own right.
