The Time band was Prince's band. They eventually broke away and became their own entity. Then they broke up. Morris Day went solo...sorta. He kept one of the side guys as his side kick. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis went on to become major producers best known for all the Janet Jackson albums, beginning with Control.
