Ring Tone Non-Persistent

My stetting for the default ring tone keeps getting lost. I even tried changing back to stock kernel from the Koush test kernel. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

This may be dumb to point out, but if you're using a custom ringtone that's on your sd card, it will not play if the card is mounted as a drive.

Installed the new 3.1 yesterday and still having this ring tone problem? Anyone else? Any suggestions??

I've had this occur on every ROM I've used, including stock. I believe its just an issue where the phone searches for a particular ringtone while the storage is mounted to a computer, so it just grabs a default one and assigns it as the new one. I would too would like to find a solution to this.

I think I found the problem. I have volume toggle widget installed and for some reason it had a tone I had never chosen checked as the default. oops

I'm having this issue and don't have a volume toggle widget. Any other sauggestions or anyone else having this issue?
