Angry Birds is FREE...Will It Work on The Hero?

Its been posted up on a couple of places that its out for free (officially).

I managed to download it to my PC, used advice already offered (such as this; Menu > Settings > Applications > tick Unknown Sources) but I'm getting " Parse error There is a problem parsing the package".

I'm guessing its not compatible with this phone, OR I'm not compatible with modern technology. Anyone want to confirm this please? If its the latter I'd appreciate help.

It ofc works :D. And I think much nicer as the beta :) . Played it a bit at work at lunch. now I am trying to get it from the market :P . So far no luck with titanium will try fastwebinstaller (didnt work last time ... )

hehe so slow Xyro :P . Already installed with it (last time I tried something else :P). BUT ITS NOT in the download list...!!!! Checked with tit, its connected... But not on the list. Erased cache and data but its not there :(
 
I got it from fast web installer. One problem with the game I think. Does anyone else see a light blue bar when they zoom out on a level? Happens on every level for me. And some of the structures dont display properly for me. That happens only on some levels, can't remember which.
 
Ok, if its working on your phones, can anyone tell me what I need to do?

I installed the .apk to my phone using HTC sync, which didn't work, so I copied the .apk to my SD card then used 'Andexplorer' to find it and try and install it that way.

Both times I got "Parse error There is a problem parsing the package"

Any ideas?

Do I need to provide more info about my phone? If so, what can I provide to help people to help me.

What rom (and or android version) do you have?

And try the fast web install method.
1. install appbrain app
2. install fast web installer app
3. run the appbrain app and sync
4. run fast web installer
5. go on your desktop (or browser in hero) . NOT the appbrain APP! to the appbrain page and log in
6. find the desired game and press install

Thats it. Should download and install the game. but when you get an error like this there could be some other trouble.
 
I can't install it either =/

Fastweb doesn't work, installing normally with the .apk doesn't work and neither does adb pushing it.

ehh, what're you guys doing...go get it free from getjar lol, getjar.com, just do it on your phone...go to quick download and type 43600

Xyro... works... I have successfully installed it from getjar (yesterday lunch) and then via fast web installer...

Oh one thing. The appbrain has a nasty habit to make a new list for every new rom you have. So when you sync be sure its the default one also. So the fastweb installer works.

And again. Be sure to install it from the desktop! NOT from the appbrain APP!

Peji I do believe thats what they tried to do. But they are getting some kind of error.

Valiant23 someone suggested the package you downloaded is not valid. TRY to redownload. you too Xyro!
 
Went to their website. Downloaded the apk to my pc. Transferred the apk to my hero using HTC Sync's app installer.

Works ok. A little laggy at times.
 
No matter whether I use fastwebinstaller or get the. ask and install manually (from a few different sources) it tells me installation was unsuccessful.
 
I was getting the error yesterday as well(apparently too many people were flooding the servers), but at lunch time today when I got home, I tried it again and it worked perfectly. Tbh, idk what to tell you lol sorry :/

Well only 2 things come to my mind right now :P

1. have you enough space? :P (sorry had to ask :P)
2. What about nandroid and trying another rom? (go go floyo :P)
 
Yeah, I have like 70MB free on my internal memory. I'll just give it a shot next time I'm flashing a new ROM.

Its too good to wait :P . Try it now :P . You has to have some nandroid you could try it on :)

level 2-12 worst lag ever ...
 
Fixed it :)

Unmounting the SDcard from the phone let it install, who'd've guessed.
