Official List of Post 2.0.1 Issues

I thought it would be useful to index a list of the issues post 2.0.1. Here's what I've personally seen and/or read of occurring by multiple posts on this forum. Please add as you see fit, and I'll edit this list regularly.

1. Browser Lagging: Browser scrolling is jittery/jumpy/delayed on certain sites. Appears to be random, though somewhat related to graphics intensity of site. (Phandroid is a problem site).

2. Backlighting: Backlighting of the keyboard and haptic keys works intermittently.
EDIT: NOT ISSUE: update has tied backlighting to light sensor. Placing finger over the top of the screen (lengthwise) will confirm.

3. Adding Shortcuts: Can't add shortcuts or widgets to home screens. Message says "No more room on this Home screen" even though the home screen is not full.

About the backlighting on the keyboard and soft keys.

If you bring the phone into darkness the keyboard and softkeys will become back light. They seem to be using the light sensor to determine when they come on. I noticed that playing around with it at my desk at work. I covered the top of the screen where the speaker is and the keys light up.

You may have room, but you may not have enough room for that widget/shortcut that you are trying to add. For example, you may have two open "spaces" on a Home screen, but if you try to add Power Control widget(which takes up 4 spots), you will get that message.

I just added a widget and shortcut to a HOME screen and it worked fine.

Can you folks with 2.0.1 try something? From the pattern unlock screen hit "Emergency Call" and see if the screen dies on you. I'm having that problem. I discovered it by accident just messing around. Thanks!

Adding shortcuts and widgets work fine for me.

After finish a phone call, it used to give me the option to end call after the phone is away from my ear, now it is locked after call and i have to manually unlock then hit end call?.? Power save or has my settings been changed in 2.0.1?

DDG, my camera is working fine.

I DID notice I can no longer change the browser behavior. Used to be able to go into the browser options and choose Desktop, Mobile, iPhone (or similar) and maybe something else. That seems to be GONE.

Other than browser scrolling, screen transitions seem to be MUCH smoother..

Just got through watching my SD card wipe itself before my eyes. Not a happy camper ;(

thsi is why i use the mybackup app..i think theres also others but thats the one i use you can back up thing to the sd card which in your case wouldnt have helped and you can back things up to online which would have helped

This was the case prior to the update as well, unless you open the KB.

Funny that when in the MM dock it WILL rotate the homescreen w/o opening the KB...

Home Screen rotates to landscape AFTER going to Settings / Sound & Display / and checking 'Orientation' (Switch orientation automatically when rotating phone)

Hmmm, I've had my Droid for a month now and it's NEVER rotated the homescreen, others have reported this as well. YES, that box IS checked...

I see this was your very first post, did you sign up just to try and cut me down or have you just not had a chance to look around? Do you have personal experience with this phone? If you do, I imagine you might have seen that your suggested setting change DOES NOT WORK...

I know they want us to be nicer in the forums, but anyone that's even played with one of these for 10 mins. in the store would know that this just does not work on the homescreen....

No offense intended. New here and just trying to help. What you refer to as Home screen I think I refer to as Lock Screen brcause I have seen other threads discussing 'Lock Screen'. This screen does not rotate, but after unlocking, what I was referring to as the Home Screen does rotate to landscape. Sorry for confusion.

Mine does not and never has. If I start an app, then it rotates. If I pull the keyboard it rotates. If I'm looking at the phone and turn it to landscape without opening anything, it remains in portrait.

I prefer it that way actually. My wallpaper looks pretty dumb in landscape mode.
