Best price for G1

Has it ever occured to any of you that if you can't afford the usual T-Mobile plan to use your G1, maybe you shouldn't be buying such an expensive phone? It's like living in a cardboard box and driving a Ferrari. What are you thinking?

so many trolling posts.. no one said he cant afford it... and i wouldn't compare the G1 to a ferrari... maybe like a vertu phone can be compared to a ferrari, but a phone u can get for almost free? i dont think so.

its not like he needs to sell his house to get the phone.. he just wants to get a good deal.

$139/no-activation fee.

If you name-drop a corporation that works with T-Mobile. I happen to work for one, so I got the discount. They sometimes want a valid email address, I didn't have to give one though.

The way it worked was that I went into a store and got the senior sales person (just happened to be the one I talked with first). I told her of the corporate discount for employer. She sold me the phone at $139. I then had to call a T-Mobile # to get the activaton credit.

But the store never did check any documentation for my in-store discount, so I'd assume you could get it for $139+activation with no-hassle *shrug* Worth a try.
