The Walking Dead (Midseason Finale)

Vihzel

Destroying Balls Everyday
If you like zombie movies, you MUST watch the 6 episode miniseries on AMC called The Walking Dead. You can see the first episode on Hulu... after that, you have to watch the next episodes on AMC since Hulu wont carry the other episodes.

Not to sound like a chickenshit, but that first episode left me a little creeped out. Zombie flicks always do that to me though. I can sit through any other horror film with no problem. But the walking dead put me in a state of mind I can't shake off for a few days.

The worst part is that I know I'm gonna watch all six episodes. :)

Watch the series and then pick up the comic book! Been reading the ongoing for the past 6 years and it's an even better read!

I haven't watched the 2nd episode yet. I'm at work right now (3 am) and I want to, but I work with a guy who would be watching the show over my shoulder and asking STUPID questions the whole time. So I have to always make like I'm just reading so he doesn't get clingy.

The whole idea of working the Graveyard shift - in my opinion - is to be left alone. So I don't understand why gregarious people work it, the kind of people who want to just chat all freaking night long. i.e. my worst nightmare, and far scarier than zombies. ;)

Update:

And just as I typed the above post, he walks up and asks if I can type something up for him since he barely knows how to turn on a computer.
This task is not my job and has nothing to do with me at all, but we're all just one BIG HAPPY FAMILY here on the graveyard shift.
Why can't he **** off.

Sorry, I know this is about film and television and not the "most annoying coworker in the history of the world" - I exaggerate very little - but every night I almost lose my cool. What actually happens instead is I grit my teeth and put a smile on my face.

You know that old classic Office Space? Well this guy is Milton, Lumberg and the fat redhead all rolled into one.

See, film reference!

The story was written and released at the same time. The only similarities are the coma patient waking up to a changed world. In 28 days later they weren't zombies but people infected by a genetically altered strain of rabies. Everything else is very different. TWD is about the survivors and how how humanity has changed and less about the zombies themselves. Seriously don't take it at face value and give it a shot. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I was hesitant on watching TWD since I'm not a huge zombie/thriller/horror fan but decided to give it a ago. Watched the encore premiere and definitely loved it. So far so good albeit some odd small flaws.

Decided to pick up the comic as well. :)

I was not going to check this out just because I am not a fan of this genre too much. But I caught the first episode with a friend cause she wanted to see it.. I was very pleasantly surprised... Will be following this show.

I'm not sure how you missed the other thread that's basically at the top of the forum, but I merged both.

Have read the comic book since the beginning. Love everything Zombie! The episode last night was just fantastic. I am really looking forward to them continuing this series. AMC didnt realize they had such a huge hit on their hands.

just hit the uk on fx

have a love hate relationship with american drama

buffy the original film in my top 10, the series will say no more

lost, jj owes me a few years of my life forgiven for the awesome fringe

twin peaks, xfiles pure well written drama, prison break/heros wasted chance due to bad writing, ended up like a one night stand that wouldnt go away

but very impressed with TWD, strong cast with valid stories and some cinematical scenes that get the heart racing

only watched the 1st 3 eps, fingers crossed the story is not stretched for the viewers, pace at the moment is bang on

as a uk viewer do have to thank you american guys for dexter, tru blood if TWD can match these benchmarks for the whole series will tip my hat

and the american version of "life on mars" will be a cult viewing in years to come

roll on next eps.........bites like a walker
