it also has files that are required for upgrade.. all the files on my private server.. needless to say its faster.. than public share filesystem like megaupload.com..

Screen shots also there .. check out and share your experience..

I did flash to European version via Kies.. Anyways Indian version is going to be almost same.. only difference.. is we are getting it late and may be some local language support like Hindi..

Reg. Warranty break.. answer is yes and no.. you did it through Kies ;) and you can always go back to stock version by using ODIN.. if not kies..:)

Guys,I've almost made my mind about upgrading to Doc Froyo ADJP5 v8. (Due to lots of lag, I un OCLF'ed and delete LPP, now using Voodoo Fix plus ADW, and it is much smoother, though it could be partly attributed to slightly lower no. of apps.. (Quadrant score went down from a max of 2108 to 1654 though).

Is there anything I need to consider? I've already backed up my EFS and backed up all system+user apps using Titanium Backup. Should I also, sync with App Brain? Also, installed SMS Backup and Restore to Backup my SMS'es..

Any last tips? (And considering that JP5 is the latest European FW available, is it the best?. And, I've heard that updating to Europe firware screws with your CSC settings? What about APN settings?)..

Any help would be really appreciated.Total newbie here :( (For eg. some other ROM suggestion. Or some other FW. Am favouring JP5, because acc. to some, JPD Asian version having some issues? Also, hearing about widespread Swype inaccuracy?..Else, will have to wait for Indian FW, if it releases next week..)

I bought sgs from Dubai 2 months back, today i found upgrade to froyo in my Keis.

so i have updates my SGS, but once updated the phone's screen is fully black and only the 2 soft buttons at the bottom is lighted.

if you if restart the phone again same situation, i even tried to remove the battery and put it back, but same result.

i have used voodoo lag fix before but forget to remove the same, is that is the reason for the current situation. Is this is called bricking of the phone.

Can you experts urgently give me a solution to make my phone working.

i bought sgs from Dubai Airport, i didnt rooted the phone.
only installed vodoo lagfix with an app mentioned in this forum some times back.

what should i DO?

awaiting your expert advice ASAP.

cheers

Reflash back to Eclair using ODIN, then update to froyo again. This will fix it.

Remember, never make any changes to the firmware without removing lagfix first.

Thanks a lot for the instructions that you provided to upgrade to the European version of froyo for Galaxy.

One question that I have in mind is that some time or the other Samsung will also release the Indian version of the Froyo. Do you think we will be able to upgrade to that version easily.

Also it would be great if you could write the registry settings for the current indian version (xml file) so that in case of any issues we can always come back to the original eclair version

Thanks,
Kailash
