If you had the chance to be able to direct a movie based off of a video game, which one would you choose?

I personally would choose Dark Age of Camelot because I would be able to create epic... EPIC battle sequences involving the RvR aspect of the game and I'd also love many different lands in the game in cinema.
 
I think the Mass Effect movies are going to be awsome and it would be badass to direct one of them. Commander Shepard is the shit, and there are so many alien races that it would be interesting to create them on the big screen. Another one I would like to direct would be Bioshock... Such a great storyline, that is just dying to be made into a epic movie.

+2 to what you said, those are some kick ass games rite there with interesting story lines. Another one I think would be great to add is the Half Life series also.
 
Keep hearing great things about Fallout..but FO3 kept crashing on me so i deleted it....maybe I should sit down and really give New Vegas a chance to see what all the hype is about....
 
Friend of mine told me the other day that someone is making an Assassins Creed movie. I would love to see that if it's close to what the games has. I hope they don't water it down either.
 
I really thought the storyline behind the Legacy of Kain Series was amazing, the ongoing battle/friendship between Raziel and Kain would be brilliant in a movie.

Also +1 for the halflife series.
 
I've recently played 'The Witcher 2' and it plays like a movie - that would be nice to see.

My favourite storyline in a game was 'Planescape: Torment' with todays technology that could be amazing.

+1 to 'Half-Life'

Mass Effect is already planned, Can't wait to see how it turns out :)
 
Chrono Trigger or some JRPG with a whole lot over done costumes and graphics.
But after watching Suckerpunch (yes, not originally a game, but has many scenes that look like one) and its fighting scenes fail miserably I dont think its a good idea...
I would be making the movie for my own pleasure, not a money generator.
 
I wouldn't want to direct. But I would like to see Halo, Bioshock, F.E.A.R., get movie adaptations. Singularity could make a decent movie, but I don't think the game sold well enough to get the Hollywood treatment. InFamous would make a cool superhero origin story flick.
 
Saints row 3, it'd probably be a better movie in the 'stupid over the top' genre than pineapple express, superbad, Harold and kumar and the likes.

If it were a serious question, I'd say max payne 3. Absolutely killer gameplay. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it.
