Root SE X10 Wireless issue

Hey, i have this problem, my xperia connects to the wireless network but i cant open any pages on the browser, it prompts that web page not available, no app works like youtube, googlemaps and so on. Tried different wireless networks and it is the same.. Any clue whats wrong ? ;/

Hmm,

Are all your settings correct? (note: Plz do not give out your IP, DNS or other stuff like that to the public on Android Forums or others here that can be dangerous.)

Are you ad-hoc? infrastructure? Public? Hidden maybe?

Let me know dude i will try help.... it could also be your ISP (Internet service provider that might be having trouble dude :) )

Its just a simple wifi network in my house.. Dont know what happened, it was workin fine i updated to 2.1 and bam.. it shoes as it is connect but no internet :|

Okay, maybe try a different wireless manager maybe? Hmm crap this sounds bad,

Try this and install manually to your phone maybe hmm:

WiFi Manager - Android app on AppBrain

Damn i hope this helps :(
 
Im sorry to ask but is this automated ? I dont really know how to downlaod from appBrain and install manually.. Sorry, Im still new and thanks for quick replying !

On your pc just click install i think that's how you do it, (i think) ;)
 
How to turn em off ? I dont think this is my problem. My wifi shows that im connected and so on but i cant get to internet, none of the apps works which need internet

Wow this 1 is confusing... So your PC is up and running on the interwebz right? So it can't be your ISP... hmm

Hmm dumb question but what are the Wi-fi sleep Policy settings on your X10 dude?

Try fiddle with that maybe... shit this 1 is confusing :confused:

Maybe they (Sony Ericsson) have done some strange software upgrade... hmm also erase your current network configuration and try enter all the data in again maybe? shit! :(
 
Hmm damn,

Okay use wifi reassociate to "ping" the router we will check if it is truly connected... there might be something funky going on here

But first try delete your wifi profile with your router and re-establish and enter in the same data for the wifi connection dude.

Damn i am running out of options here.... hmm:

um.. I cant really download any apps frrom appdroid coz its based on internet connection and i have no internet on da phone ? :/
 
Never mind man.. many thanks for helping!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will just go to the shop and change the stupid phone :)

I dunno know if what i am about to do is legal but i will download to my phone and try and upload the apps for you... is this cool friend? they are free anyway :)
