AT&T Samsung Captivate - FROYO update

I'm one of the many waiting for the update to 2.2 and I'm wondering if that will be done through the software upgrade on the phone itself or will it be through keis and connecting to the PC? Frustrating in that so many people seem to be sporadically upgrading and yet many more are awaiting the simple public announcement with instructions on how to do it. Becoming a very cloudy issue with no clear cut information - even thru AT&T!

Kies mini states for "firmware" updates only. If that is true, I believe it will be an OTA because froyo is software not firmware.

Thats what I thought. The local AT&T store indicated otherwise but they havent gotten anything right yet... Too bad - I like the phone but AT&T is the absolute worst!
