DVD to Android?

I am sure it can be done but I have yet to see a thread that explains how...

My wife has an Eris (Android 2.1) and I have a D2G (loving the upgraded hardware). So, how can I put movies on my phone and how do I watch them once they are there?

Thanks,

found it last night (HandBrake) and started the process... it works like a charm... I just had to find the right settings to get a good display :-)

Thanks,

cool cool. yeah finding the settings that work can be a pain. usually i just take a short vid and make multiples with different setting to see what i like. you could also search google for say: best video settings for "your device" or something similar.

You can't surf the net about technology with reading about tablets. Except for the larger screen - I can't see a need for one, yet. My biggest wish will be when you can stream ISO files to an android device (preferably a ten inch tablet) without having to jump through hoops to convert and download onto a card.

Is this on anyone else's wish list? Is this on any developer's radar? I've lots of stored movies just waiting to be viewed in this manner.
