Root [ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Ok can't stand it anymore going to install Fab's Apex. Never installed arom only a theme. I'm going to sbf 2.2 then download new update. Will root using Z4. Do I need to deodex or does Fab's rom handle that?
 
I have a website i need to access from my cell phone, getclicky.com which tracks visitors to my website and adblock which is in ApeX blocks access to all Getclicky websites. how can i whitelist getclicky or remove adblock all together from ApeX.
 
Ok, how did you know I had 928 Blackglass? Are you saying that the old 928 Blackglass will brick your Droid if you try to install with new .340
 
Speaking of being deodexed, has anyone confirmed if the Revolution theme works on this version? And is there anything that i should do to make sure that there's no elements of the Gingerbread theme showing?

It might not be an issue now that there are SBFs floating around, but don't do it anyways. :D

You can safely skip that step completely.
 
You can set those icons by Pete in ADW by pressing and holding on an icon and then dropping it in the same spot. You can also rename shortcuts in this manner.

since these are custom images, you need to put them on your sd card located here: /sdcard/data/com.kanokgems.smswidget

when you add the widget choose "Custom Icon" to select the icon you want for your SMS Unread Count widget. :)
 
Anyone know why when I put the alt. Battery for revolution theme it doesn't display the percentages? It does this every other time I update the rom.

Yes. MMS messages don't want to send. I've tried *228 option 2 and a battery pulls but they still won't send. Can someone confirm whether or not they can send/receive MMS messages?

I had it with a previous version of Apex after I restored apps with Titanium backup, no way to get rid of it, the phone isn't actually syncing, the icon is just stuck there.

Just sent one to my wife and it went through in less than one minute.
 
I've been out of town on business and have not been able to update yet to 1.3.

My question is to the users who previously had 1.2.1 and updated to 1.3.
Did you wipe data and cache?
Did you have the everlasting backlight problem or the battery drain problem previously and did this update fix that?

I don't want to have to wipe data and cache if not needed but I will (grudgingly) if that's what i need to do.

And similarly how has the battery life been for people now that you have had the chance to use this rom for a couple of days...

I want to get the dx mt keyboard back. Problem is I formatted my sd card today so ur script wont work. Any other way to get it back?

I did, but I always do. You can never go wrong starting over with a clean slate.

My battery life has been amazing. I unplugged my phone at 7 this morning, made a few calls, sent a bunch of texts and whatever other random stuff and I'm still at 60%.

This ROM is amazing.
 
Ok, here is my problem from earlier...hopefully Fab or someone reads this. I installed the black keyboard that was posted here a while ago. I decided after that I wanted to use the GB keyboard instead, so within terminal I selected GB keyboard then rebooted, now I keep getting FCs, and when I select -bmt in terminal I get the black keyboard I installed, which is ok. But I would like the option of the GB keyboard. Any advice?
 
I ended up restoring missing apps and select data in order to alleviate the stuck sync icon.

Problem number 2 was the inability to send pictures with handcent. The stock msg app worked fine. Iended up downloading chompsms and it has no issues sending pic msgs.

Question - where is the hotspot app? How can I get it back? I use that instead of wifi tether because my work doesn't permit adhoc connections.
