Alternative to Jorte?

I used to love Jorte. Don't need it synced to Google Calender, just loved its simplicity and interface and most importantly the "IMPORTANT EVENTS" display that displayed upcoming events.

For whatever reason, since their last update, Important Events in the evening disappear at around 5pm. So for example, if I have a dinner scheduled for 9pm, it is an important event in red all day, and then disappears at 5pm.

You can see how this is problematic... why would events in the evening not show until up to the event? It used to work fine all the way until midnight, but alas, not anymore. I've emailed jorte twice, and they haven't responded or made any updates, so doesn't seem to matter.

Any other calender apps on the Droid that are better than the standard that actually function properly?

Rather than abandoning a program you enjoyed, have you contacted the developer and asked about this?

There's a long thread, Best Calendar App, on which there is presently excitement about 3 beta releases: Pocket Informant, Calendgoo, and Business Calendar. My opinion is that Pocket Informant is the best, because it has a much better calendar based date picker. However, the other two are quite good, and since all are beta releases, the final versions may have improvements.

The benefits of competition! I was using Jorte through gritted teeth as the best of a bad bunch - I've come to Android from Palm, and I can still remember how proper software helps you to organise your life! However, all of these three betas leave Jorte standing.

Pimlical for Android is here, from the developer of Datebk6. Do a Google search, I'm on my phone or I'd post a link.

I love Jorte because I need something that can handle tasks and a calendar all in one, and it must be able to sync with Google's calendar. But two things that really are not working for me with Jorte is than you can only have three task lists, and more importantly, you cannot switch/edit which task list a task is on. I could live with the only three task lists if I have to, but not being able to move tasks around really messes up my work flow. Is there anything out there that will have all of these things? I would really appreciate any help!
