Root Need help rooting lg axis

i've been trying to root my phone for the past week but nothing has worked. z4,superoneclick,universal androot, they wont work. plus i cant do the SDK way cuz i cant use pdanet because my computer wont install my phone as a driver while its in usb debug mode. im posting here because on wikipedia it says that my axis is a copy of the ally for ntelos. so can anyone help me? i desperately wanna get wifi:(:(:confused::confused:
 
Look up rageagainstthecage

download it and push it via adb to /data/local/tmp

and then type adb shell then once you get a $ prompt type /data/local/tmp/rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin

I dunno if I can do adb because I can't install sdk cuz for sum reason java from the official site won't download on my phone or my computer
Never mind I got it just gotta install everything
 
i cant get the computer to install my phone because its saying i got the wrong driver but the one i have is specifically for the axis. any tips?
 
Barnacle dosent make a true wifi signal. Its ad-hoc which things like ps3 psp and other androids for that matter, can't use to connect.
 
if you tether the phone to a laptop and use a crossover cable and bridge the connections you can use the phone as a modem
 
By that I assume u mean get my phone to share its connection with the computer and get a wireless router to distyribute a wifi signal? 1 problem- I don't know how to distribute the wifi signal from a computer, not a laptop.
 
no....tether the phone to the pc. get a crossover to connect the ps3 to the pc then enable ics (internet connection sharing) then you should be able to bridge the 2 connections
 
either usb or wifi tether.... yes crossover ethernet
search or one click rooting if you cant ill upload it and give u the link....i also added youto my friends list
 
Already rooted,and just out of curiosity... how do you share the phones internet connection from the computer? Like what would you change under the computers options? Sorry this is one of the only fields where I'm a total noob:P
