For all those who are interested in DHD. on Expansys price has gone down to 387GBP with shipping. They are offering 5% further discount thats why the price has gone down

Expansys has increased the price again to 408.50 GBP ...

Guys, if you don't like LG and rather wait for HTC/ Samsung's next flagship Dual Core phone get the DHD from Expansys. I got in 4 days and it cost me 31k (30.2 + 0.8 customs). And all the goodies are in there too.

Hi, I ordered it on Monday and just got it today. I came back to the package from office only 4 hours ago. So far, I synced my contacts, facebook and google account.

I am charging it now. I will get back to it in some time to check htcsense. Weather and locations work fine.

Btw, the customs was really 800 bucks only.

Though I am from Delhi, I am currently in Hyderabad and will be here for a couple of months.

I guess the htcsense.com/in server is down at the moment. I was able to create a HTC sense account from the phone and even downloaded appbrain from it. But I am not able to open the site on my laptop. Anyways, I guess Sense is working as it found my location and allowed me to download apps.

DHL. Nope. I tried once but they couldn't get through. But as Punk and some others were successful and Expansys sent me some confirmation mails fairly promptly, I trusted them and let go .

u should try checking for any available firmware update bcoz HTC UK released 2-3 updates for DHD

I never had a S/Amoled screen before but what I have with me on the DHD is definitely top class, even at 36% brightness. I still need to test it in sunlight tomorrow morning but unless I, say, look at an SGS/ Nexus S I would blissfully believe that this is the best screen out there .
But the build quality is awesome. I can confidently tell my parents I spent 30k on it without explaining Android to them .

I am normally a patient person and would wait if there's an expected price fall but my Sony Ericson charging pin failed making it completely useless. Hence, I made the decision. But come Jan 2011, I guess there is a lot to look forward to. So, it's up to you whether you want to wait or not.

one imp question, the charger has a UK pin or the normal PIN which can be used in india without adapter ? can you show us a screenshot pls

I have a standard 6 plug spike guard (for laptop and hard drive) and so I am using that. Even otherwise I guess it is easy to find a single 2 pin to standard indian 3 pin plug. No adapter is required.

Not really with shipping its more...somewhere around Rs.27,600 with no freebies.

No need to hurry now.Pre-ordering for LG Optimus 2X will start before X'mas (mostly).
Without checking LG optimus 2X i dnt want to hurry on buying DHD.

Good news...Jst got a call from HTC India. The phone should get released within next week. I was in meeting so could not talk in detail. The person wasnt much aware of price.

Hey iamteja

I have a few queries on buying from expansys.
I called them up on this number +85224166700 which seems to be their HONGKONG Office...Even if order from Uk..its gonna be shipped from HK it seems and for warranty issues i shud ship the product to HK...

I got details that there are 2 bundles available :
1. From Expansys HK : Phone + 32 GB Card = 32500 INR ( she converted and told me the price in INR )
2. From Expansys UK : Phone + Cradle n all = 30431 INR

AND

3. From sgbest.com : Phone = 27500 INR ( this seems to be the best deal at the moment but then its like shooting in the dark as no one has ordered from this site till now )

I asked her how much would the customs taxes be. She replied we cant say for sure. But if you have any special instructions for us to label your parcel as something...we shall do that for you..I was like i dont know nothing abt it...I will research on internet and get back to ya... What shud be spl instructions on the parcel to avoid customs taxes ?
She also said its best to place ur order over the phone if u have any spl instructions..

Does getting the stuff using 22 bucks DHL better than 40 bucks FEDEX in terms of speed and customs taxes ?

I also asked her is this a china made phone...!!! She replied no sir its made in Taiwan...
Abt the warranty is it wise to buy it from there to send it all across to HK or UK to get any mishap to the phone rectified ?
