Phone plan, what do you pay?

Just curious, what are you guys paying for your phone plan?

My mother and I share unlimited talk for $99/month, so I pay $50 of that. Then I have unlimited text for $15, and unlimited data for $29. This is my first smartphone, so I haven't had to pay for data plan before. It's getting EXPENSIVE!

Is there a better option/combination for me to keep unlimited everything, but pay less?

i pay $74.99/month for unlimited talk-unlimited data-400 text messages &
i get a new phone (or upgrade) every 2 years

I believe that plan pricing is somewhat based on where you live, too.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, which I'm guessing is one of the more expensive areas.

Anybody want to be awesome and chip in for my cell bill?? Pleeeeaaassse??

i pay roughly 90/mo. i have an unlim everything (voice, data, texts) plan for $79.99, $5.99for insurance and then taxes.

You're paying for tethering? I thought no one was paying for tethering at this point- is it no longer free?

I read the reviews for PDAnet and it didn't come across as reliable. Is there a different app I should look into for free tethering? I can get rid of it any time,mI just thought I'd try it and see what speeds I could get, for Netflix and such. So far, it's like having broadband.

I've also read reports of T-Mobile blocking tethering unless you pay for it. Anyone?

im on tmobile and i tether just fine. no extra charging at all. i barely hit 2GBs of my 5GB cap though. now i have a friend who tethers all....day....long. and i mean that literally. he hasnt seen any extra charges on his bill and he surpasses his cap. the only thing he does get is a text from tmble saying he's reached his cap and his data speeds will be lowered.

Is tethering free? I've never even attempted it to be honest. I just figured that it wasn't because everyone else can't do it on other carriers.

to be honest, i think it is FOR NOW. before i rooted my 4G i used the regular hot spot with no problems. i havent seen a 15dollar tether charge on my bill yet. i mentioned before on this forum i believe that i spoke with several reps and they all said tethering was free. they pretty much encourage it. maybe later this will all change (for non rooted users) but for now its free.

They can't just add the charge on your bill. You have to agree to add the service. I'm just wondering how consistent PDANet is. Seems like TMO is catching on and blocking some people? That's what I'm hearing. I definitely don't wanna pay this $15 if I don't need to, but I can't tell what's going on right now.

I got a pretty good deal for two Mt4G's on Black Friday. Bought one phone for $220, and got one free with 2 year contract per line.
For 2 lines we pay $100 total for the following in Chicago:
600 shared minutes
Unlimited text
Unlimited data
Unlimited t-mobile to t-mobile
Unlimited nights and weekends

Not bad. Insurance?

I have a shared plan with my husband who has a blackberry. We have $59.99 for 750 mins, plus my $30 for unlimited data, and my $10 for unlimited messages.

I pay 74 bucks for the data, 500 mins and texting

I wish they had a cheap plan like sprints 200 min plan...i'd only pay like 59.99 for all three things
