Sneak Peek - Sony Xperia X11 & X12

Hey - i'm due an upgrade on my current contract just after New Year too

trouble is, said video looks just like the X10 white - though if the link is to be believed, thats sony's plan - just a bit thinner

everyone said X10 had a superior design so why change it - or is the November 3rd just the X8 launch ??
 
I'm not putting much weight behind either of those links. Where is the supporting documentation. Pure rumor as far as I'm concerned. Nothing to get worked up over. Besides, you will never be able to keep up with hardware. New devices will come out every six months so you may as well accept that reality.
 
jan 14th release date...but according to sony ericsson track record it wont be out till xmas of next year
 
i doubt that SE would be using an AMOLED screen.

but apart from that the x12 sounds awesome, but with SE you simply never know what you'll get.
 
I don't see the point in 12MP cam. The quality of the pics doesn't get any better with the increase of MP. Rather the opposite. They should use a better 8MP chip to improve quality and a proper flash instead.
 
I'm telling you guys, don't waste your time getting excited over a rumor. You will likely be disappointed.

I believe that is the same guy who "verified" that the 2.1 update included 16m colors. We all know how that turned out.
 
I agree.. I choose my X10 because of the camera, but I have been disappointed and thrilled at different times. Installing a better chip might make the difference.
 
From some of the pics ive seen floating around of the x12 looks cool although the ones gunny found i believe just to be an x10 not the x12.
And some how i get the feeling the x12 might blow only as once something actually decent comes out the next inline is way over the top with tons of problems.But then again maybe it wont be released at all.lol

I can upgrade in 30 odd days, i think i'm gonna get an iphone.

I have an upgrade in the early part of next year, i too will probably go the iPhone route.......sorry to those that love it, but the x10 is rubbish, slow, and so not the iPhone competitor it made itself out to be!!!
 
I'm due for a HUP as of Jan 1st. I refuse to go Apple, and throughly enjoy android. Whether it be x12 or another android device that runs gingerbread, I look forward to what the market brings in 2011.
 
To be honest, I doubt anything will bring me back to SE (at least for the next term of my contract so I can see if they ever improve). My mum has just taken delivery of a Desire Z and I am blown away and will almost certainly opt for the Desire HD of the day when my term ends in around 18 months. That's not to say im not pleased with my X10 though. Was great on 1.6, a little worse after 2.1 but now running a custom ROM stripped of all the crap and it's awesome. My only real gripes are camera flash and multitouch (which is soon to be fixed).
 
My x10 has been great on both 1.6 and 2.1 but I don't think I would get another se product judging by all the negative comment on here. I must thank them for introducing me to android though, I could have easily ended up as a sheep gnawing on fruit and being disappointed with all the restrictions the I phone has.
I'm due an upgrade in feb so I think it's gonna be the nexus 2 for me, looks good on paper so......
