Help Will the unlocked HTC Desire HD work in India?

A few people have emailed HTC about sense.com and the reply they get is "they're still working on it", So it sounds as though it's not completely finished yet.
 
HD7 and Mozart are up on HTC India website. Thanks to everyone who visited dealers and confirmed the news. Congratulations to new owners of DHD's. :)

Just getting to know it
And its nt thaaaaaaaaaat imp a feature for me yet
Im more drooling over other specs :)

One word is missing from DHDs inbuilt dictionary and so it doesnt know it at all...!!

and did you doanloaded the india map from locations app ? it should be more than 200MB file so better download it from wifi and not mobile network

after u do that then check if premium navigation is available for india for free ?

hey one more question, though I am sure but wanted to confirm,, the phone is NOT locked to vodafone right ?
 
guys ..i just got my desire hd.. its an Amazinggg phone!.. totally in love with it!..also.. the price i was getting was pretty decent.. 26.3 k !.. will just need to a screen guard , carry case for this 1! :)

Hi cracksuirrel,

The update to 2.2.1 solves the issue of "lag on DHD with USB debugging turned OFF".

Before 2.2.1, the USB debugging was to be turned ON to avoid lag on DHD.

Correct me if my assumption is wrong.

guys, i was out of town for last 3 days. dint expected DHD to be available with retailers so early after loads of disappointment in the past.
Anybody got any clue where its available in Mumbai...Looking at the trends, the phone shud be available for 26.5k so dont want to pay 1000 bucks extra on flipkart. :cool:

For the first time in my life, I should be able to respond to someone that I bought a gift for myself in new year - DHD. :D Even when I was a kid, I use to think that buying anything in new year sounds very kiddish :rolleyes: ..

Hope someone here in Bangalore buys and confirms the dealer & price ..

PS - Me too was away in weekend to Chennai .. couldn't chase DHD's availability with dealers etc .. (and did Bangalore to Chennai - 380 kms on bike in 6.5 hours , Chennai to Bangalore upon return in 5 hours 10 minutes :cool:)

so r u planning to go for it ? I suspect in Maharashtra the taxes are usualy high for these goods and we may end up paying a bit more that what ppl are paying in delhi etc

In H'bad somebody cud get it for 26.5k and I dnt think there will b much tax diff between andhra and maharashtra. on weekdays bit difficult to go around and check for prices...I will go around mayb on friday...I would try bargain with this guy otherwise I will look around for other retailers.

I have talked with quite a few retailers here in mumbai. Most of them said they will hav it in couple of days.price will be between 27-28k. So i think better to wait till friday.
