What version of android is it? You should be able to see by going to Menu-Settings-About Phone. Well it says About Phone on a phone, but I'm sure it says About Tablet or something to that sort.
You need to have froyo for it to work. Before I put eugenes froyo on my vibrant it would not even show up in the market place with the stock 2.1 rom on it.
