Search Marketplace through home computer

It's incredibly frustrating trying to search for an application "type" through the phone's Android Market place.
It works only if you know the exact name... which I don't.

I'm able to access the market place through my home computer, but i'm still unable to do a proper search.

Basically, I'm trying to find a writing program, similar to say, microsoft Word.. etc...but I have no idea what category this falls under.
.. and i've tried several.

Any ideas how I can perform a proper search?

Go to appbrain.com. They have much better searching and browsing. You can download there or get from market once you find what your looking for.

I like NoteMe. It's not a word processor, but it does what I do on the phone.

..this is exactly my frustration.. I would never have found this program without typing in the exact name.

I think Android Marketplace needs to get their act together.

I just use AppBrain to browse and search on the PC. Once I find what I want, I search for it in the market. If your rooted, you can also download the APK and install yourself. :D
 
I use Appbrain and sometimes I have it sync with my Appbrain App and install things that way... sometimes I just click for the QR Code and scan it off the PC monitor... works well... because I also like to search for apps on my PC.
