Help Two, two text notices, ah ah ah!

So I'm trying to make use of the app called 'GoSMS' on my Transform and it should come as no surprise that I am getting two entries on my notification bar at the top.

I have silenced the built in ringer but I still have to deal with two notices. All I can find on the forum is the obvious instruction to disable the built in stuff but no one even comes close to describing how that is to be accomplished.

It's certainly possible I've missed the setting in the menu; nothing in samsungs world can be straightforward.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go into your stock messaging app, press the menu button and select settings, and uncheck notifications.

Sometimes you can disable everything in messaging, and make chomp the default, and you will still get double text, maybe not as many , but sometimes you will. Turn off delivery reports, it might help, and turn off quick reply. Talk to your carrier as a last resort, i heard that cricket's network has a problem with this.

Do not delete the messaging app, your phone will suffer.
