Root optimus u?

I don't wish to be resurrecting a dead thread, but I'm completely willing to assist you in giving the custom rom treatment to the optimus u. I'm an engineering undergrad and I already have my phone rooted, so I can help get these to you if I was provided with a little how-to. I'm dying to get the chance to modify this brick.

Actually my post was more in reference to this post. I'm willing to beta test and give him the files he needs. I'm trying to find things about how to build your own version, but haven't exactly started yet. It's still finals week at my college. XD
 
well this weekend I'll do some tests and am gonna need some beta testers. Send me a pm and let me know if your interested and what times your gonna be available. Once we get the files from your phone it'll take about an hour to get some things going
 
Just wondering if there was anything to come out of this as I currently have a bricked Optimus U. I have been searching all over and have spent the last 3 days trying to build a Rom since I sort of wiped mine. Ooops!
