Poweramp and Salling Media Sync Podcasts Overwriting

I've been really impressed by the power (ahem) of syncing podcasts with Poweramp using Salling Media Sync. It has the potential to stop me using my ipod nano once and for all as I've given up on Doubletwist ever delivering on it's promises of Mac based podcast integration.

One question I have though is when I sync a new set of podcasts how do I stop poweramp/salling media sync from overwriting the existing podcasts that I haven't got around to listening too?

If you're interested in just podcasting, I'd look into an app like Doggcatcher. It automatically downloads X number of episodes (you define x) and won't deliver new episodes (depending on how you've set it up) until you've listened to the old ones. Stitcher will stream podcasts directly to your phone, but I haven't played with it enough to decide if I like it or not. I use Doggcatcher for my podcasts and use Poweramp for my music. I like to keep things separate. It's just my preference.

Tbh the price puts me off Doggcatcher. I know you get what you pay for with apps (LP+) etc but it just seems a tad too expensive for an app. Its a shame there isn't a trial offer. I may change my mind as the poweramp trial runs out soon so I want to avoid buying two costly apps.

I second doggcatcher. It is expensive, but well worth the money. It gives me complete control over how I like to manage podcasts. If I ever go to an iPhone, I will miss this app.

Honestly, the price is well worth it.
