Ok so Gingerbread's coming out soon.

First a poll, who's going to be going back to stock rom to update?

Second does anybody know whether the radio and recovery image have to be stock too or will just the Rom do?

I want to create a nandroid try out gingerbread and then jump back to cyanogenmod but I'm not sure I can be bothered if I have to reflash the radio and recovery image too.

I have been stock for three weeks(new N1) waiting for the 2.3 release I thought was happening this week. Now I fear it will be at least January until we get OTA 2.3 for the N1. I'll be going back to Cyanogen tonight.

I did go back to stock then realized id lose root and don't feel like dealing with that yet; will just wait for someone at XDA to get CM updated.

Just looking over whats new, I don't think theres anything in it that I can't live without (yet).

Well I've decided now so I've gone ahead a voted no. I'm just going to wait until team douche gets a new version up, although if it's as long as it took them to get a 2.2.1 version up then I might reconsider, or at least start using nightlies.

I went back to stock as soon as Engadget jumped the gun with their post about Gingerbread being released for the N1. I've been stock since then but i guess ill have my Nexus S before gingerbread gets here for us N1 owners.

I just bought a Nexus One with Cyanogen on it. Anyone know how I can go back to stock 2.2 so that I can get the update? Please excuse the ignorance, I am a iPhone guy. Or should I say I WAS a iPhone guy.

There wont be an update for a few weeks yet, so don't worry to much.

When the time comes, have a look at the XDA Devs Wilkes for a how to.

Here is my favorite "run back to mamma" How-to on going back to stock to prepare for the 2.3 goodness (or if you just want to go back to 2.2).

I used it and it's good.

I posted this before but I have to say it again, at this rate, we'll have a Cyanogen ROM with Gingerbread before the OTAs are officially rolled out.
