Post your Sprint Premium Data speed

Actually that would be about 3-4x the speed of any dial up connection you'll find lol...

Yea I guess you're right but i'm sure it'll drop down to dial-up speeds once I turn on the wireless tethering. I heard we're supposed to make the EVDO switch soon (this morning at 2am supposedly) but ofcourse I guess I was bamboozled. I downloaded the mobile signal widget and it still says 1x.

I'm curious to see what other customers will be experiencing for their $79.99

The above was done with the screen shot it trial.

It doesn't look like you're using an EVO or an EPIC.

The contract that sprint signed, turned over the spectrum to clear for wimax. The whole allotment is fcc forced on to wimax, which is what the fcc approved it for. If sprint wanted to change it over. It would have to give the money back to it partners, google and intel are not people you make mad. Then you would have give back the spectrum you have from the fcc, because the fcc does not like to have it ruling changed by companies. Then you would have to somehow get the fcc to see that the spectrum that it gave to you for wimax needs to be changed to lte. Then you would have to buy back the spectrum. The docs are pay per view, I will see if I can find a copy online.

Correct.. that 40Mhz also came with a stipulation (not sure if it was written or oral) Wimax was to be deployed on or around schools and universites that leased the spectrum to them, they have not lived up to that agreement for the most part yet..

I believe they have no choice but to accomplish that task this year.

I foresee a huge build out coming soon in those areas.. The spectrum was city and state wide in alot of areas, those schools and universities are going to want that build out asap.

I just don't see the LTE switch happening anytime soon. They just need to upgrade the software, fix the shoddy installs and continue the build out and add the existing infrastructure.

You're right I'm not using a evo or an epic but it is a smart phone so if it now falls under the extra $10 fee which along with the horrible speed even thought sprint says im in the green is the point I was trying to make

I get your point. Im shocked that your phone states you're in an EVDO area but you're speeds are similar to mine. In other news, I just looked at my phone and the mobile signal widget now says EVDO when earlier it said 1x. The SpeedTest app shows extremely slow speeds, slower than normal actually. I hope this changes soon because i've been running 1xRtt for 2 years now and im fed up with it.
