Usually if I'm trying to find my way in the dark I'll just unlock my phone and use the screens glow to find my way, but if I actually, really and truly NEED a flashlight at that moment, I use LED Light.

It has to power the camera's flash from the battery. The power has to come from somewhere.

There are tons of apps that will turn on the led flash for use as a flashlight.

I prefer quicksettings, because instead of an app specifically for one basic function, it is an app that does many things conveniently, including that. Basically it adds a button to your notification shade that opens a window (by default, fullscreen but I changed it to "popup" mode) that has tons of user-customizable settings. At the top of said window is a flashlight button and a battery status button.

gotta agree with that.. tried a few but telsa led works great...
I had to go into settings and select 'motorola droid' to make it work on XT5.
