NitroDesk Touchdown Version???

Android Enthusiast
Hi I have been trialing the Nitro Touchdown app on my Android for nearly 30 days now and it's about to expire.

I have contacted Nitrodesk with no answer so I though I would ask you people for your help if I may?

Which version of Touchdown should I install/purchase there appears to be a number of versions at different prices?

I have a t-mobile UK Desire

in the market I find

Exchange by Touchdown
Exchange Touchdown(andro 1.x)
Exchange for Andriod 2.x

on the website i find
version 6.2.0003
version 6.2.0012
Exchange for Android 2.0/2.1
Exchange by TouchDown

Any advice would be appreciated as I have read they are shocking for giving you a refund if you purchase the wrong version.

I use the paid version. If you are on a 2.1 OS version then this is the proper combo: Exchange for Android 2.x and the license is Exchange by TouchDown Key.

It's the most expensive app I have but it has worked flawlessly for me since April 2010 through every update. I use it for work e-mail so I am especially fond of the ability to set the polling and notification hours and days of the week. I don't have it looking for mail between 6pm and 7am during the week and never on the weekends. If I am desperate enough to see work email during those times i can always do a manual sync.

many thanks I appreciate that.

the only reason I am not using the stock app is
1) - html emails not supported on Server Exchange 2003
2) - the off peak times never work so mail will come in the middle of the night
and may not come through during the days as it's decided to goto manual

That's the key to unlock Touchdown. This is what you buy but you also need the app itself which are the other 2 items that you listed:

Exchange Touchdown(andro 1.x)
Exchange for Andriod 2.x
Select the one that matches your device. Froyo is Android 2.2 so that should be a straighforward decision for you. ;)

I'm a bit surprised you haven't heard back from them. I've had to contact them for support a time or two and they've always responded promptly to me.

Same.

Happy Touchdown user here.

I like that my work contacts/calendar are still there for easy access, but they don't get merged into my Android contacts/calendar.
