Help with notification ringtone

Ok.. I am new here and I just got my G1. I am still trying to figure all of it out! Is there a way to change your notification ringtone to an actual song ringtone??? Pleas HELP!!!!

Download from the market a program called rings extended this will allow you to use music on your phone or sd card... you'll also want to download ringo as it allows you to change all notifications from individuals such as text etc...
