Local Store just said the 24th

I am one of the iPhone 4 buyers that are contemplating of the Thunderbolt. I seen that Verizon changed their return policy, Kind of seems to be a ploy to keep from getting returns. Thats why I bought from Apple. 30 day return.

didn't this same thing happen with the incredible launch??

Actually the Incredible issue was that a lot of us who pre-ordered received it a couple/few days before the release date. They sold out shortly after that due to not having displays to keep up with demand. (Hence the AMOLED --> SLCD mid life crisis.)

To be fair we don't know why they are causing the confusion.
It could be a marketing gimmick for all we know.
It could also be Verizon having system problems.. it is their first 4G phone.

Or.. it could be as it was reportedly leaked... they want to wait out the 14 day remorse period of the iPhone.
They don't want iPhone buyers to return the iPhone for a thunderbolt and have to restock a now used phone.

Personally I would rather all the kinks be worked out (if there are any!) before they let people buy it and find out that it's not working properly.

I also find it odd that they are sending these to reviewers without a sim card.... this just makes me wonder.
For this being their first 4G phone why not show off the phone and it's talk+data at the same time feature and their network speed?

I think there is more to this than we know, and we will eventually know what that is I hope.

I agree why not send out the phone with full capabilities? Maybe there is an issue with the 4g or something with the phone who knows for sure.

That is why you wait and dont always jump on the first of something. Maybe it has major issues that they are trying to see if they can work out before releasing. but then again with verizon they would probably just release it with all the bugs and then say well we cant do anything about it.

6 bucks says there is no issues with the phone. 3 bucks says its because of the proximity of the iphone release.

Yeah idk because some of the testers said there was major software issues a month or so back so maybe that is why. The more it is delayed makes me glad to not have an upgrade until july because I could see alot of people being upset if the phone has many issues. By that time hopefully they have the bugs(if any) worked out and who knows HTC will probably have something else coming out around then also.

Seriously where are people getting that there is a delay? Because some blogs posted a Feb. 14th date, and BB had a Feb. 14th date in their system? The only thing close to an official release date anyone has gotten was 1st Q 2011, we are still a month away from the end of the 1st Q. So until March passes the phone isn't delayed.
