Android Calendar loses repeat appointments on reboot

I have a repeat appointment in the inbuilt android calendar. It repeats weekly. All is fine until I reboot. After a reboot, none of the repeats show in the calendar at all, until I edit the original and save it again.

The repeat appointments are all visible in Google calendar.

This is a major problem for me! Is there any fix/workaround?

I have many repeat appointments and reboot when needed, mine stay put.

I think I said in my first post that they all show in Google Calendar

and mine don't. What version are you using? Mine is build version 2.2.

Let me clarify something...

The original repeating appt is still there after a reboot. If I open it, it still claims to be a repeating appointment, BUT the repeats in the following weeks do not appear in the calendar until I edit and save it again, then the calendar remembers to update itself, and all the repeats appear.
