Apps redownload themselves

Everytime I hard reset my phone, my applications redownload on their own. I do not want this. I uncheck the back up my data option under privacy and it still happens. How can I stop this?

I'm not sure which software version or device you are using, but in my privacy settings there are two options...

1. Back up my data.
2. Automatic restore

I'm guessing that you have to un-check Auto restore.

What phone? How are they downloading, through the Market or through some stock app?

LOL thats funny thing. Are they no kind of options to look and untick or so?

I'm using a Droid Pro now, but this hasnt happened on any other phone. I had to hard reset then skip the initial login. After that it worked.
