Syncing contacts pictures

Hello guys, is there any way to manually choose your contact's picture instead of setting the phone to prefer facebook/google pictures?

Which phone do you have? Generally you would go into the People app and Edit the specified contact. At the top, next to the name on the left is a camera icon. Tap it and it lets you select your own picture.

I have the Motorola Atrix, first android phone

I did what you said, but the pictures would change right back after I exited contacts. In the end I just deleted all the accounts in motorola accounts so it couldn't pull any info from facebook :\

Is there any way to do this w/o having to resort to that?

I'm having the same trouble on the HTC Hero. The pic changes in the People section of the contact, but it reverts back to Facebook/Google pic when I'm in a text message thread, even though I've "unlinked" Facebook on that one contact.
