My point is that they already know something; if that something is not a release date, then why not tell us what they DO know? The people are hungry for info, why not provide them with some kind of useful response.
 
Another updated datapoint from the San Francisco Bay Area:
I have been calling the BB guys a couple times a day. One salesperson said a truck had pulled in, but she wasn't sure if the TB was included. Later, when I called back, they just said the shipment only had Xooms (for tomorrow's launch 2/24), no TB's. The sales guy said it was looking more like 2/28, but they didn't have anything official. However, they did say, if it was 2/28, they would give all the pre-paid deposit customers a call on Sunday 2/27. (There are 14 pre-orders at my Mtn View BB store, so far.) So I'm hoping I get that call Sunday!

I also asked again about the free Buy Back program. They said it only ran until 2/26 (what they consider their "end of month"). So, no, I couldn't get the free Buy Back order in b4 the TB was available, but he said he didn't have any more details about extending the Buy Back program. IF, the free Buy Back program was not available, it would be $60 for the TB. However, if I bought the Black Tie (svc contract - it's month to month - you can cancel at any time), then the Buy Back program would be 50% off or $30. So this confirms what someone else said in an earlier post.

Hurry up and wait..... The anticipation is whipping this forum into a frenzy, but I think it will definitely be worth it! Front facing camera (FFC), true 4G, sim v/d, and an open platform with changeable batteries are must haves for me. Just take a deep calming breath... about 10 zillion times! LOL!
 
Hey, been browsing this thread for over a week, finally decided to register and post.

I preordered at BB on 2/7, I'm #3 on the list here in Orange County CA. I've been going nuts like the rest of you, awaiting the Tbolt. In the process, I bought my wife an iphone for Valentine's Day, as now we're stuck in the process of switching from Sprint to Verizon. As soon as the Tbolt is here, the change will be complete. 1 plan to rule them all.

I was picking up a cup of sbux tonite, and the guys from the VZ store were outside after they had closed. I asked them about the Tbolt, and they described the phone as "sick", and that they were given a date of 2/27 that it would be available.

So, thats my 2cents to contribute. Waiting and hoping we all get the call tomorrow from BB to come on in. Running AOSP 2.3 Gingerbread on my Hero currently.

Question,
Whats the consensus on the verizon ins/asurion ins or BB Black Tie warranty? I'm not partial to either party, I just want the best product for my money.

yea nothing on my truck that was TB today....i have a dumb ? i never used my upgrade b4 i'm gonna use it for this phone what will i get off the price of the TB?
 
horse shit i lost my phone (eris) on the 9th and was happy i did since tb was coming out on the 14th....now i have no phone and have no idea when im geting one

vzw's previous hints at an ahead-of-schedule release date allude to the possibility that they initially thought the phone was ready and were responding to market pressure. clearly, that is not the case. reports tend to say that verizon is merely making sure their first 4g phone is perfect, but i think it's more like they want to make sure they don't go into battle with an unloaded weapon.

...you do realize that by now the phones have been maufactured. They're in boxes right now..it's not like they're all lined up in some kind of matrix like configuration, being prepared for launch..IF they were at that stage, we'd have another year to wait.
 
Forgive me if this was already mentioned but Verizon removed the Skype references from the ThunderBolt's 4G LTE page

Are we coming up to the launch extremely soon?
you would assume so since it wouldn't make sense to update a page by removing something so close to its anticipated launch

personally i belive its good to have insurance on way or another cuz these phones are expensive and anything can happen (accidents) i have my insurance through Verizon/assurion havent needed it but just in case

Since your goin to be renewing ir upgrading you'll get the 2yaer pricing whatever that is...250 or 300 instead of paying the 750 for it...lucky i have a family member that works there bcause im paying retail well what their price is...
 
Check it out, someone on the AC forums has it. Real pics with current date, in hand, on kickstand, and at some conference. He is promising next Thurs release. Have to believe the guy, he has one....
 
I went into my local BB yesterday and was able to speak to their corporate verizon rep. She was crossing out the 2/28 launch on the sign as I walked in. She said the phone has postponed indefinitely, when I asked why, she said that this whole launch has nothing do with 4G problems and is all about minimizing total returns of IPhones. We exchanged business cards and she said she would call me if any news arrived, she said sometime mid-march is what she is expecting now, but no release date has been determined. She also was telling me that this phone would have a dual-core processer and I told her that wasn't the case. She assured me that it would, and the 4G network was working fine and Skype would be on the phone at launch. Basically saying the Iphone is why we are having to wait.

I just checked it out, seems to be a launch party event they were at

the pictures are definitely real, the calendar even says Feb 23rd.

I absolutely agree, I mean that's a week from today, it's a thursday...it makes sense. However, Best Buys are getting loaded up with accessories as of yesterday, i dunno.

Hopefully they'll announce today or tomorrow
