NOOK app ok on wifi, not 3G - ideas?

Nook was only allowing me to get to a certain page last night and then going back to its home page. I went from 3G to WiFi and the problem disappeared. Since the e-book is already downloaded, I wouldn't think 3G or WiFi would have an effect on the functioning of the Nook.

I use Aldiko for all my ebooks (free), and it stores everything to the sdcard under an eBooks folder.

I'd be surprised if the Nook app was different in that regard, but never say never where for-pay stuff and copy protection is concerned, I suppose.

FWIW - have you tried reading your books in Airplane mode? If not - I'd wonder how they'd really expect you to use the app at all.

I installed Aldiko but they wanted to charge for the Star Wars e-books I get for free on Nook. Uninstalled Aldiko but I will check out airplane mode...

Edit: it works under airplane mode.

Ah - I tend to avoid Aldiko's for-pay stuff, usually instructions exist to make it work with many things, including Project Gutenberg, for free.

Working with airplane mode means it ought not be doing anything with radios on - try pulling the battery, wait 60 seconds, put back in, read on 3G, see if problem goes away.

I'll have to do that because I try to read a couple of pages and the phone sends me back to the home screen.
