Help with youtube

I am have an Intercept running 2.1 why is it that i can watch Youtube vids in a steaming format but not other "tube" sites? also is there a way to change download settings to only one file downloads at a time (disable mulit downloads)

because you dont have flash. The youtube app converts the flash to a streaming format the phone can use. Other sites are flash, and you need android 2.2 and above to use flash.

Thank you this clears some things up. i'm guessing the only way to get 2.2+ is if my carrier releases it or rooting?

Correct. If the carrier doesnt release one, or you are too eager, head over to xda-developers, in the section for your phone. There will be multiple roms you can install and some of them will probably have 2.2.
