Simple app to set default browser

Trying to find a simple app to only set a default browser, nothing else. Found several that will set different browsers for certain webpages, etc etc. I only want to set a single default browser for everything. Like Browser Switchboard on the Nokia N900 if you're familiar with that. Suggestions?

If you click a hyperlink in an email, it should open a popup that lists all the browsers you have available. CHECK the "Set this as default" FIRST then click on the app you want to be your default. Thereafter, the app selected will be the default until you manually clear it in settings.

I don't believe you need an app to set the default browser. What app is currently opening as your default when you click a link? I think if you go in to settings and click on Applications you can go to the browser that is set as your default and "Clear Defaults" next time you click a link it should ask you what browser you want to open it in and if you want to make it your default browser app.

Clicked a link in an email - no pop-up to set default, just opens the stock browser. Don't remember seeing a pop-up before, but I might have forgotten now..

Went to Settings in the browser, nothing called 'Clear defaults'. Clicked 'Restore default settings' the next closest thing - no effect.

Went to Settings > Manage applications - stock browser is not listed. Checked Firefox - says 'No defaults set'.

OK, so how do I do this? On HTC G2 vanilla Froyo 2.2, not permanently rooted. Or is there just a simple app to simply let me set a default browser at will? Can't believe there isn't...

@jimdroid...forgot the friggin' 'All' button - Doh! Then 'Browser' was listed, cleared defaults, got pop-up, all good.

Thanks for the link, but I saw that before and it's not listed as 2.2 compatible and reviews are ugly. Can't believe there isn't a good, simple app like I need.

edit: ^^ I can't read.

Went to Settings > Manage applications - stock browser is not listed. Checked Firefox - says 'No defaults set'.

It may be listed as "internet" with the stock globe icon. if the clear defaults option is greyed out, simply wait a minute or two for the list to refresh, or try force closing it.

most 3rd party browsers will also have "set as default" options as well.
