Email and Widget ?s

Hello all, just got the new Atrix with AT&T, love it but have a few questions.

1. What is the differnce between data push option and fetching option for email? I use 3 emails, Hotmail, Gmail, and Outlook for work. Which option uses the least amount of battery?

2. I used Android 2.1 on my captivate before and I used the Advanced Task Killer all the time. I don't like the apps running in the background becuase I feel it takes more battery. Is using a task killer to end apps still necessary with 2.2? I use the clock widget and it seems that once I use the task killer and end the running apps the clock will not update, the time stays constant. Any thoughts?

Thanks

thanks ill check out those posts. Well i guess not but when i looked at the list of the apps i was killing the Clock is not listed...thats why I wasnt sure.

Oh sorry, I misread. I think the clock runs off of a service or app just called clock, but it could be something in a random service that it needs that you're shutting down. ATKs don't really help after 2.2, there's a number of threads about not using task killers anymore, and problems like clocks not updating are just the tip of the iceberg.
