State: Concealed carry bill advances!!

Right, if this doesn't pass, IL will be the only state left without any sort of carry law.

Well, we have some loophole law where you can carry an unloaded gun with your clip or something in another area but what's that going to do for ya.

Crime here in Rockford is getting bad....with no horizon of an end to it. Our ******ed mayor decided it was a GREAT idea to break up our projects and spread up the criminals around the city. Ya that's great, don't have them all centralized in one broken down neighborhood where they belong, ya let them around the rest of the city and make the rest look trashy.
 
What are ya carrying for conceal? I just got a Taurus 1911 .45 :) I might get something a little smaller though if we do get CCW

HK P2000SK or Sig Sauer P239. i have .357SIG and 40S&W barrels for both. tend to go .357SIG 125gr most of the time, but like to use .40S&W 180gr in the winter. i like larger mass and slower bullets for targets that may have multiple layers of clothing on.

i can conceal my P229s well also, if i want higher capacity(have both barrels for my P229s also). i can conceal my Sig Sauer Revolution if necessary, but only if wearing a heavy jacket.
 
haha wow, wish I had that many toys. My 1911 was my first pistol ever, haven't fired a handgun yet but going to the range this saturday. Only ever fired shotguns for clay shooting, got a maverick 88 12 gauge and I did had a Remington 11-87 on hold at the gunshop buuuuuuut swapped it out for the 1911 :)

Good luck. I liked mine so much I got several. Colorado has a Constitutional Carry bill up right now so hopefully it's good news for everyone. Glad states are starting to realize how important to the crime rate this right is.

I almost got jumped last summer in a nice neighborhood because some fools don't like me walking my dog in the dark. The crime here is getting out of hand, more and more ******ed murders that could have been prevented.

I've got a .45 1911 that would like to see some sight seeing.

This is the type of person that dont need a gun period. Someone seen one to many westerns.

9/10 times the person robbing you already has his gun out. So by the time you fiddle with trying to get it out. BANG your dead. Your still a victim.
 
1. 10/10 times i am aware of my surroundings and don't put myself in a position to get robbed.

2. i guess you've never been to a defensive pistol class

It is sad that we have problems, but I have the RIGHT to 'keep and bear arms.' Unless one does not believe in the US Constitution.

What is far more sad is not that people have the need to carry, but we have to even discuss the issue of carrying a gun in the first place. I can read the founding documents and they are quite clear.

I should be able to carry if I want to, without any further discussion.

No I know your type cant wait for a situation to happen so you can show off your gun. I bet you think you are ready for anything and you will come out on top all the time.
 
You must live in awful places to feel the need to defend yourself.

Before anyone goes off half-cocked (see what I did there?)...I own a 1911, a .357 magnum, a 22 derringer and a .45 six shooter SSA.

yeah, Columbine High is in such a crappy part of town. so is Virginia Tech. oh i give up....
