Importing a .ics file

I'm fairly new to Android, just bought a HTC desire.
I use Thunderbird on my PC with the lightning calendar add on installed.
Is it possible to sync the lightning calendar, a .ics file, with the calendar on my phone?

You can import it into your Google Calendar, which will sync to your phone.

Dont think there is any way to sync it directly into your phone.

Look at MyPhoneExplorer (Google for it). Client on the PC and app on the phone (all free) and it'll sync TBird directly.
