Help Screen Cracked "resistive"

Hey this has happened to me and I have a crack through the middle of the screen. The bottom of the screen works as usual but the top needs a lot more pressure. can you give me a website where i could get a replacement top screen?? the same bit as you.

Thank you.

New Touch Screen Digitizer For 3 Mobile ZTE Racer X850 on eBay (end time 29-Mar-11 15:52:50 BST)

5mins on Ebay

ps I don't know this saler... buy at your own risk!!!!!
Hi - first post here, just registered. I have an HTC Wildfire and my wife has a ZTE Racer, and unfortunately she has managed to crack the screen - I kept telling her not to keep it in her back pocket!

Anyway, I have ordered a replacement from the seller linked above and all seems good so far, excellent communication. I wonder if anyone who has actually replaced one could post some more on the procedure of replacing it. There was a reference to soldering in one of the earlier posts - I am not averse to a bit of soldering but it would be nice to know how fiddly it is.

Thanks!

I sent mine away to China, because I couldn't buy the parts at the time. I think someone has taken one apart, can't be too hard theres no sliding keyboards for example. As for the soldering reference it could have been just said so they got to do it, to get more money who knows. I'd search google to see if anyones posted a step by step.

Some tips from someone that has stripped a G1
get everything you need 1st before taking apart
keep everything you are replacing, you'll be surprised what you
may need to strip from the old parts
take you're time you may have to video it?
may get internet cool points if you're the 1st to video a guild
however I recommend a step by step guide
if the phone doesn't work you're not really losing anything
doesn't look like it'll be too much trouble but who knows

Well I've done it! Screen arrived yesterday and it's installed and working, if anything better than the old one. The only tricky bit really was reconnecting the ribbon cable. I could have got it for $22.50 rather than

Hey i'm doing the exact same. um could you give me any advise on how to connect the ribbon cable properly or take a picture ?? please ??
It was my wife that managed to connect the cable - basically keep wiggling until it slots in. Sorry, I don't have any pictures and I'm not taking it apart again to take some!

I'm having serious trouble and I can't get my touch screen to work. I'm unable to make it recognise that I'm touching it (I've just replaced the screen after it being cracked somehow.) But it won't recognise. There was a very small strip of paper-like material.. but it came unglued due to my sweat. It still has a little yield, and I've managed to re-attatch it onto the gold contact under the ribbon and AROUND my ribbon. Please can someone help me, it's so annoying. I will literally pay money for help.

hey guys ive taken out the screws but what do i do now theres so little info and im struggling please reply soon
Sorry, I just played it by ear and apart from getting the ribbon cable in it was pretty straightforward based on the replacement screen and what I saw before me - sorry!
