Atrix & Xoom for Sprint

Read that a bit ago and found it fairly interesting. With so much coming to Sprint I guess we will have to see if anything steps on the toes of something else. No matter what, I want the 'big daddy' phone (hoping its the Evo 3D) :D

Pretty interesting. Looks like we might have multiple options for high end android devices. I love my Evo but options are always good.

Yes options are very good, haven't seen any major changes from sprint in a while so im happy about this, i always liked Motorola.

I've never been a huge fan of Motorola. Last thing I had was a "Q". Wasn't happy with it at all. Same as the phones before. Hopefully they've gotten better.

I had the Q, also (well, the Q9c). I don't think its fair to judge Motorola on that one phone because it was running on old windows mobile software that was buggy as hell. Loved it at first, but after a few months it would take about 20 seconds just to load text messages, etc. Everything I did seemed to pull up the "loading" screen for about 20 sec. WinMo just got buggy and slow. I thought Motorola's part was fine, the hardware was solid.

I don't really care about Atrix or XOOM, personally. But if the rumors are true, Sprint customers will have more choices than we'll know what to do with. As a Sprint customer since 2005, I'm not really sure how to handle it!

^ agreed. If all this is true, I'm gonna have one hell of a tough decision to make this Summer. Still loving my EVO now though.

this is proving to. be an exciting weak for me, first 2.2 and now xoom :D lol
anyone know how much verizon sells theirs for?

the xoom on vzw is 600 with 2 yr contract. 800 bux without. wifi only version is 500 bux.
i have the xoom now but i am a sprint customer so this is exciting news if true about the xoom. thx op for posting...

No matter what, I'm likely holding off on any tablet purchase until at least HTC has released their tablet.

As for the Atrix 4G, it's very tempting for me to consider that, but won't make a decision on upgrading to that, until I've seen what the 2nd generation EVO looks and feels like.

Yep.. I got to see what HTC does for a tablet.. I am giving myself 4 weeks go make a decision based on current devices and anything announced in the next 2-3 weeks..

BlackDynamite posted this on the EVO 2 thread in the EVO forum:

Sprint’s CTIA announcements: HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO View 4G, Motorola XOOM, much more | BGR

Man, that's gonna be a tough decision. I still have to see all the tablets released for a while before deciding on which one suits my needs, but the mention of Pen support really seems like it'll be what will work for me the best, especially at work (which is likely the place I'd be using it the most, for meetings).

After next week the Atrix is going to have to really fight to get attention unless it beats the Evo2 to market ASAP. Figure Evo2 in June, so that should put the Atrix in April for a safe period of selling before being run over.

Evo2 is going to be huge for Sprint, with the iPhone5 being the only product that I can see stealing its thunder for 2011.

Motorola and their stupid locked bootloaders... I would almost consider one 'cause the hardware is some of the best on the market, but I would much rather the HTC with its open bootloader. Time will tell I guess. I am just happy for all these (supposed) options coming. It is about time....:D

i currently have a xoom and the xooms boot is not locked. some have rooted the sucker and moto even recognizes the rooting community...

He is correct, my xoom is rooted as well.

Motorola is requiring us to remove root to receive the LTE upgrade when it is available..

So they have acknowledged it as well.

No kidding....if the Atrix comes to Sprint...I'll be Quick to get it, and ditch this at&t version. After 10 days with the phone, I gotta say its absolutely bananas. Takes a few days for the battery to get conditioned, and for the phone to go through its paces...And once it does, its absolutely awesome....Only downfall is at&t with they're seriously Fake BS 4G! The phone IMO is worth moving back to Sprint for. For those thinking about the EVO 3D and compairing it to the Atrix, HTC has done nothing to improve upon they're build quality, and the TB suffers from alot of the early EVO'S shortcomings, like light leakage, dust, and recessed buttons...like the power and volume buttons. I'd pick Motorola in a heartbeat these days.

I want another 10" tablet, I own a Galaxy tab and have a Xoom from one of my gigs..

I will definitely hold on to the gtab for awhile I love the size.. I am not that impressed with the Xoom, I am hoping for a HTC sense ui, 10" tab with pen capabilities, that would be the perfect tablet device.

If they would have added voice to it i would be in heaven.

I always wanted a 7" tablet till I was actually able to see the Galaxy tab and the Xoom next to each other. Huge difference, if HTC is going to release a 9 or 10" version of their flyer I think that might get my money, unless the BlackBerry Playbook has a stylus for it as well that you can buy that works just as good.
