I wanted to switch to sprint... too bad they dont have nationwide data.

I really wanted to move from Verizon to sprint, but I talked to a service rep yesterday and apparently if you go into data roaming you are capped at 300mb. Damn it! They should either change this limit or expand their coverage. I'm a truck driver and I have a feeling I will be constanly roaming should I switch to them because I use a lot of data. Looks like I have to stay on shitty old verizon.

I had no idea it was capped at 300 mb roaming. I've always heard that if you roam more than you are on network they may get pissy at you (some people force roaming constantly) but I hadn't heard of that hard cap.

Just a rant. Hoping others might also chime in if they frequently travel and how it has/han not effected their data usage with sprint. My contract is almost up at big red so just looking for input.

I travel extensively for business, as a commercail pilot its not uncommon for me to hit 3 states in a day. I need data coverage for weather updates and voice coverage for filing flight plans. I've been on Sprint for 10 years, and have never had a problem with coverage. Most of the airports I hit are not in major cities either, I've been a flight instructor and a cargo pilot for a small airline which feeds remote towns for FedEx. I've never had any problems with coverage or overage charges with Sprint... which is why I've stayed for so long. Sprints network is solid. :) Now, the loyalty is paying off with all the cool phones and best plans in the business. ;)

well.. i hear you...

and no body can satisfy everyone .. all the time.

verizon does have a bigger network.. and you pay for that...
if that is what you need and want...

then you know which carrier is better for you.

I drive 40k a year for my job, and i never have a problem with Sprint. The few times I am roaming I am in the middle of nowhere. I would assume being a truck driver you are pretty close to the highway most of the time so I can't see this being a problem.

I travel quite a bit as well and have had no coverage issues with Sprint. Been with them for over 8 years and have been very happy with my service.
