Verizon to Sprint?

Well after seeing the EVO 3D, Nexus S 4G, and Evo View tablet, I really want to switch to Sprint. I have unlimited 3G on Verizon and my parents think that's a big deal if we were to switch to Sprint to lose that, not only that but they think it's a pain to switch numbers to different carriers (but I see people migrating to different carriers every month on this forum). Anything to convince them? I REALLY want the Evo 3D or Nexus S. Plus, is Sprint's customer service good? What about data speeds?

Well, for one, you wouldn't lose unlimited 3G. You would have that with Sprint as well (true unlimited where there are no caps imposed supposedly). Migrating a number is also very easy. You literally tell them your old number (I believe it MUST be a mobile line) and they work their magic. Migrating a number literally adds on less than 5 minutes of your time. I have been happy with their customer service, although they are anal about you paying your bill on time (we didn't pay the bill before we left for spring break and a week later they closed my line... A WEEK!!!! They wanted a $36 reactivation fee and I told them to go ahead and cancel my contract and I will pay the ETA since this was unacceptable. Of course, they were then willing to waive said fee...) Speeds are going to be about the same as Verizon. WimAx right now is slower, but time will tell once more people get on Verizon's 4G network.

SWEET!! :D Now isn't Sprint holding a promotion were you don't get charged for breaking your contract if you switch?

Sort of... they are offering $125 credit to your monthly bill, so in essence it's the same (assuming your ETF is <$125) This does end in the middle of April (before the EVO 3D launches).

how many lines do yo have with verizon... you should see a big savings ..moving to sprint

porting your number is .. nothing to it. tell them and it will be done. thats it!

$125 credit to port from other carrier.

all data is unlimited! everything is unlimited.. only one exception: minutes to land lines calls. unlimited to ANY wireless phone! nights and weekends start at 7pm.

only thing I want to caution you. talk to actual customers of sprint in your area!!!! ask them how the service is!!! sprint is not as big as verizon and there are areas that they do not cover well.

Customer service gets the job done, but I always end up talking to 3 people no matter what I call about.

Agreed. If ya don't get what ya want on the first call... just hang up and call again. lol Repeat if necessary... Eventually, Sprint will give you exactly what ya want if you keep your cool.
