Root Now that I have rooted.

Ok, so I used super one click tonight to root my phone, and now that I have, I would like to update it to 2.1. How do I go about doing so? Please be easy on me. It took me all night to figure out how to root it!

I did it last night! BUt I only installed JIT...

You need
flash tool, root, busybox(Not sure why though), XRecovery, and the rom

HI there, I used Z4 to root my phone. I am trying to get the latest update on my phone, xperia x10i. right now i have baseband version 2.0.46, but i cannot get anything beyond that. I tried both SEUS and PC companion and both say that i am up tp date. Any help?

Some service providers have not provided updates for 2.1 or later. Are you on AT&T or some other provider that has done this to you?

Basically....if you can't update through SEUS or PC Companion, then there aren't any updates.

Because your phone was once rooted, you could always reroot and install a newer version of Android either a stock version or a custom ROM (stock without some of the useless stuff, and sometimes added useful stuff)

I don't think Z4 will do it for you anymore....probably going to need a newer root app....like SuperOneClick or whatever it's called.

Check some other posts for how to flash for noobs or the posts on rooting using that SuperOneClick or whatever it is called.
