Hardware or Software Decoding??

Ok, so I just started using RockPlayer. It's saying for me to choose between software decoding or hardware decoding. Which one do I choose? Is one better than the other??

Hardware: RockPlayer is using the decoder of the stock player (this may take advantage of hardware acceleration)
Software: RockPlayer is using its own (software) decoder.

For more information: Rock Player - Redirect Intelligence Corp

I use the software decoder :)

Always try to use first the hardware decoding - it uses system optimization to ensure smooth playback.

Software decoding ignores all that and uses only CPU for processing the video. This often results in choppy playback and battery drain (heavy CPU usage).

Hardware is better, but the only draw back to it, is that your phone has to natively support the format your trying to use.

Software allows you to run files that your phones own video player can't play.

Ok, so I'll just keep the main settings on hardware and what doesn't play, I'll switch that one video to software. Easy enough. Thanks.
