i've only had 1x for 2-3 days and it has really been ticking me off im in south florida. Does anyone else have this problem or had it and may be able to help out. It really has been bothering me.
 
Have you only had the phone 2-3 days? I have read about several people who bought the phone new, and the store rep didn't set it up properly for LTE. Go back to the store and have that checked by someone moar knowledgeable.

If you have had the phone for longer than that, and LTE worked before, well now that is a different animal...
 
4g service has bean very poor in my area south Florida. In some spots my only alternative is to disable 4g and use 1x for a constant connection using Android Market - anycut - LTE test shortcut.
 
I'm in south florida. each day im as far north as Doral and as far south as Florida City. I get 4G for the majority of the time unless there is one of their frequent outages.

However when going inside buildings the 4G can drop off.
 
software enhancement coming ota for the indulge, first week of may....supposed to fix the 4g connection issue
 
with these extremely slow speeds im getting with this phone im afraid ill be havin to get rid of it way sooner than that, especially seeing as it doesnt penetrate my jobs building... The phone I love but the service not so much

YAH metro really has to work on Penetration MFG do they suck at this. In NYC as soon as you move into the center of the building i have been in the service suck, BUT I always think of the one and true thing that keep me happy with this phone SAVINGS OF $80-$84 per months and no contract. So if i ever get over the SAVINGS and want to pick up other carrier i'm free to do so.

Back to the subject. Mike found out how to turn 4g on. why dont you try it. Maybe at samsung they forgot to turn it on before the boxed up the phone

**583385## and make sure to select global I had a similar problem when i got my phone but GURU miketoolz had not figured this out yet. try that and see what happens.

I mean I can try it on my job on Monday, but it wont help with these slow speeds im getting. I cant stream music/videos or anything and its like im paying for services im not getting. Id rather take cricket's 3g speeds, then what im getting now. This doesnt do me justice at all.

Damn something has to be wrong. I see what you mean with speed i think i would of stayed with sprint. this is why 1x is kind of useless to me. what most people don't understand about metro is that they are a 2G/4G network. They are not 3G, But you should take it to a store and see what they tell you this speed are TOO TOO TOO slow.
 
Ok well the situation has changed and now im having the same problem quite a few people have been having. I dont get 1x or 4g when i power up my phone it it does give me 1x when i put it in airplane mode and then take it off. I've been hearing that there will be an update sometime this week does anybody have the article for that?
 
Same problem here as all of you.
They have been saying updates coming updates coming. I don't believe even that anymore. I think they are just trying to pass time until they can say well the person has had it so long and they havent complained any. So the issue must be fixed. Or maybe there is something we don't know about having the phones so long with out complaint that legaly gets them out of having to help us. Either way, even though I'm on my 2nd phone and the last trouble ticket has come and gone. I went to the store and they said the tower has been adjusted. Actually since then my phone is worst when browsing now, then when it was before. The only time I'm lucky to get 4G is on standby mode now. I would not stop with the trouble tickets no matter what they tell you. If they don't switch you into a working phone then just keep on placing trouble tickets until they fix the issue. I also recommend you to get screen shots of the 4G coverage around your home or work.

i did that but nothing change and my phone stay on 1x, so is there anything else you know that i can try?
